It covered the eastern and western slopes of the Serra da Aguieira.
It comprised a trench, an escarpment, a counterscarp, a magazine, gun emplacements.
This fort was garrisoned by 250 infantrymen and equipped with 5 pieces of 12 calibre artillery.
